As part of the enduring solution, a request was made to help with accuracy and efficiencies of customers moving between suppliers. To enable this a web service was created that allowed all suppliers access to customers data on demand. This helped suppliers have accurate data from the moment they started the registration process, and allowed them to spot any errors within the market’s data.
Overall this new web service has been well received by all suppliers and has helped assist competition within the electricity market. Similar benefits have been shown in the gas market. Due to this we would like to request a similar service for the ROI market. This will add new efficiencies and accuracy within the ROI registrations process, with every supplier having a different bespoke solution which will have to be changed periodically.
