Unplanned TIBCO Outage Update – 26th August 2015

RMDS are aware of an on-going issue which has impacted the delivery of market messages to / from TIBCO (NI & ROI) overnight.

Hourly updates will be posted below.

This will be the central repository for information and updates related to this unplanned outage.

Update Time Update Details
18:45 Capita have confirmed that the backlog of market messages is now cleared. TIBCO will continue to be monitored closely.
14:26 Capita can confirm that the backlog of market messages to be processed by the HUB is 68,055. It is estimated that it will take approximately 2 hours to process these messages.

Once this is complete the queue of market messages for today will be released from NIE & ESB. Capita estimate that it will take a further 2 hours to process these outstanding messages.

It is estimated that the backlog of all market messages will be cleared by 18:00 hrs today.

Capita would once again like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this incident.

13:13 Capita are pleased to report that the TIBCO system (NI & ROI) is processing normal production volumes of market messages again.

The backlog of overnight market messages is currently being cleared. Once this step is complete the queue of market messages for today will be released from NIE & ESB.

Capita will review the backlog along with the anticipated time to clear all the outstanding market messages and provide details in the next communication in an hour.

12:11 As a result of the technical outage, the ROI Re-Energisation Contingency Process has been invoked.

Please submit any requests for re-energisation offline via email to meterop.esbnetworks@esb.ie and ESBN will attend to the re-energisation.

The email must contain the following:

  • MPRN no.
  • Customer Contact no.
  • Whether the r/e is E01 or E02, i.e. whether it is r/e or r/ e npa
  • Date & Time they originally logged the r/e

ESBN will create a r/e order on receipt of the email, this will get scheduled within SLA as normal.

When TIBCO issues are resolved ESBN will send an email to each Supplier requesting that they issue the M017, We will then cancel the r/e with charge.

11:58 Capita technical support staff are continuing to investigate the on-going issue which is impacting the delivery of market messages to / from TIBCO (NI & ROI).

The system has been restarted at 11:45 am and Capita technical staff are currently monitoring the throughput of messages to the market.

This will be monitored over the next hour, when a further update will be issued.

09:36 Capita are aware of an on-going issue which has impacted the delivery of market messages to / from TIBCO (NI & ROI) overnight.

Technical support staff have worked through the night investigating the issue. As the system has been running below par, a backlog of messages has built up overnight.

Capita are continuing to investigate the problem and would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this incident.

A further update will be issued in an hour.
