ESBN propose to use Secure File Transfer Service (SFTS) as a means of transferring the billing information normally sent through the post. The use of SFTS will result in the information being transferred to a designated supplier contact email and IP address.
This process is already in use for the transfer of supplier information relation to prepayment meters and debt management.
The data transferred through SFTS will remain encrypted.
