This Discussion Request proposes that a new field is added to the Change of Supplier Registration market message 010. It is to allow for the scenario where meter works are required as part of a Change of Supplier. Currently, when meter works is required as part of a Change of Supplier, the Supplier provides a value of MC in the Read Arrangement field and the required MCC in the Meter Configuration Code field.

However, as part of the Enduring Solution it is proposed that the mechanism for informing NIE of meter works associated with CoS is governed by a field entitled Meter Works Type Code. This is consistent with the approach for non-CoS meter works.
