RMDSAfter discussion with NIAUR, it is proposed that NIE will read single-rate keypad meters as part of the quarterly read schedule.
The original Enduring Solution requirements proposed that only multi-rate keypad meters would be included in the quarterly read schedule. Singlerate keypad meters would be held notionally on the read schedule and vend data (received from PRI on a daily basis) would be used to estimate consumption for the purposes of settlement and DUoS Billing in line with the reading schedule.
The key drivers for this proposal are outlined below:
