In order to introduce the Single Electricity Market there are a number of changes required to the existing Retail Market processes. This MCR relates to the Market Process surrounding : Distribution Connected Participant Generator turns Non-Participant.

The reasons for the changes are :-

• The segregation of Generators which are Participant in the Single Electricity Market and those which are Non Participant

• New Metering Responsibilities for certain Generator sites across the TSO and DSO

• The formalisation of processes surrounding the Suppliers registered against export for Non Participant Generators

• The acceptance that Generators may decide to move from classification as Participant to Non Participant, and vice-versa, as time progresses
